End-user licence agreement

Last updated 8 October 2026.

These terms cover the software tools Argo, run by Maria Traver, builds and operates for clients, including tools that connect to QuickBooks Online. By connecting or using one of these tools, the client business agrees to them. A signed agreement between Argo and a client takes priority over this page where the two differ.

1. Licence

Argo gives the client a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the tool for its own business while the engagement is active. The client may not resell the tool, copy it for others, or try to get around the limits built into it.

2. Connecting your accounts

A tool only connects to the client's software (for example QuickBooks) after an authorised person at the client approves it on the provider's own screen. The client is responsible for making sure the person approving has the authority to do so. The client can disconnect at any time from inside the provider's software or by emailing Argo.

3. Changes to your records

Where a tool can change the client's records, it proposes the changes first and only makes the ones a person at the client has approved. Every change is logged and can be undone. The client remains responsible for its own books, filings and decisions, and should review changes as it would review any bookkeeping work.

4. Your information

The client owns its data. Argo uses it only to provide the tool, as set out in the privacy policy.

5. Third-party software

QuickBooks and Intuit are trademarks of Intuit Inc. Argo is not Intuit, and Intuit is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Argo's tools. The client's use of QuickBooks itself stays under Intuit's own terms.

6. No warranty

The tools are provided as they are. Argo works carefully and fixes problems it finds, but does not promise the tools will be free of errors or always available.

7. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, Argo is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and Argo's total liability for any claim about a tool is limited to the fees the client paid Argo for that tool in the three months before the claim.

8. Ending

Either side can end use of a tool at any time. When it ends, the connection is removed and copied records are deleted as the privacy policy describes.

9. Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes too, and clients are told of significant changes directly.
